Are tame, item, or survivor uploads/downloads enabled?
Unfortunately, the short answer is no.
Even though you may not do this, people joining the server may try to bring in their own cheat tames from other servers. Although this seems harmless, we want to avoid a situation such as someone spawning in a perma-tamed level 150,000,000 Titan and destroying everything in site.
One of the major exploits that we used to experience in our old server (and many still do) is for people to mass upload dinos and items, then crash the server to effectively duplicate anything uploaded.
In order to avoid these things from happening, the tames, items, and survivor uploads and downloads will continue to be disabled on our server.
I was raided and lost everything. Can I get free stuff?
Short answer is no.
Long answer is that this server is set up specifically to provide plentiful materials and resources in drops, fishing loot, and various other means. Spending 10 minutes drop hunting will likely get your an entire base with all the amenities. There isn't much work involved in acquiring items yourself and building back up.
What should I tell people asking in-game about server info?
Well, the simple answer is to point them here to ark.stupidrooster.net, and get them onto the Discord. They can join easily by going to discord.gg/FM2Z2VY. If they don't have Discord, they can always sign up for free.
What do the admins do?
The admins are here for a few reasons:
- We manage the server. This means that we have the ability to make changes to taming rates, drop quality, turning off and on seasonal events, and other server settings.
- We moderate any conflicts. If there are reports of server rules being broken, or complaints made against a particular player or tribe, the admins will take action to determine which punishment, if any, will be passed down. Every situation is handled on a case by case basis.
